Trustees' Persistence Scholarship

Overview: Created by long-time Trustee Anne Hamilton, this scholarship recognizes the value of tenacity in the face of adversity by awarding two $2,000 scholarships annually to students who demonstrate persistence in completing their degree and/or certificate at Lake Washington Institute of Technology.

    Award Details

  • Amount: $2,000 per award (2 scholarships per year)
  • Distribution: Half awarded in spring quarter, remaining half awarded in student's final quarter
  • Geographic Scope: Lake Washington Institute of Technology students

  • Students pursuing completion of degree and/or certificate at LWTech
  • Demonstrate persistence in face of adversity
  • Struggling with financial, academic, and/or personal difficulties

Purpose

The LWTech Foundation and Trustees created this scholarship to assist students needing an "extra hand" to make their completion possible. The scholarship underscores the value of determination and persistence.
