Overview

The Truliant Foundation's Community Mini Grant program provides $1,500 capacity building grants to 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations that are serving Truliant member communities. These grants are intended to be used for professional development and training for staff and board members to equip individuals with the necessary skills to drive forward the mission of their organization. This program will also consider requests for materials and supplies for programs that support the Foundation's focus areas. Focus Areas The Truliant Foundation invests in local community programs supporting three focus areas: Social Mobility, Financial Wellness, and Workforce Education. These areas are essential to our mission and to strengthen our communities. Social MobilityNonprofit organizations providing personal guidance and activities to build basic stability that will cultivate prosperity for individuals and their families. Examples: food insecurity, affordable housing, clothing, access to transportation  Financial Wellness Nonprofit organizations that are specifically engaged in activities that promote and improve financial inclusion and financial literacy for adults. Examples: first time home buying programs, financial counseling and education, credit building activities Workforce EducationNonprofit organizations supporting transformational education and workforce development programs that advance career skills and talent development from middle school through postsecondary education. Examples: mentoring and leadership programs, soft skills and work skills development, teacher support

Ineligibility

Truliant is unable to support some requests. Examples include:Nonprofits operating outside of a Truliant communityApplications from organizations with annual operating budgets of more than $500,001Capital campaignsIndividuals or familiesFaith-based organizationsFor-profit organizations or those without a 501(c)(3) statusApplications from organizations less than three years oldPolitical candidates, parties, campaigns or causesClubs, groups and organizations within a schoolNonprofits that discriminate based on race, color, religion, age, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, national origin, disability, veteran status or other legally protected status
