Traditional Grants

CSF awards grants to fund initiatives that take place in one or more of the six Chappaqua schools, during the school day, impacting a significant number of students and which are not able to be funded through the school district budget.

Eligibility

• Ideas for grant applications originate from Chappaqua teachers, administrators, parents and students
• Must be innovative ideas costing in excess of $2,500 OR requiring significant district support to implement
• Initiatives must take place during the school day
• Must impact a significant number of students
• Must not be fundable through the school district budget

Geographic Scope

• Limited to six Chappaqua schools:
  • Horace Greeley High School
  • Seven Bridges Middle School
  • Robert E. Bell Middle School
  • Westorchard Elementary School
  • Roaring Brook Elementary School
  • Douglas Grafflin Elementary School

Application Timeline

• Application cycle begins: Fall of the school year
• Final decision: Spring following the application period
• Once approved, purchases are made and staff development occurs so grants are in place during the subsequent school year
