TLHIP Scholarship Awards

The Saint Francis Foundation sponsors scholarship awards for individuals working in Tenderloin community organizations who are advancing health in the Tenderloin and demonstrating commitment to community service. The program recognizes and supports advancement of individual skills and experience through further education, with emphasis on continuing to give back to the Tenderloin community.

Geographic Scope: Tenderloin community, San Francisco, CA

Focus Areas:

• Health advancement in the Tenderloin
• Community-based organizations working on health and social services
• Leadership development
• Education and skill advancement
• Homelessness prevention and solutions
• Medical/health care education

Eligibility:

• Individuals working with Tenderloin community organizations (TLHIP partners)
• Demonstrated commitment to community service
• Pursuing further education in health, leadership, or related fields
• Commitment to give back to Tenderloin community

Award Amounts:

• Up to $5,000 per award
• $2,500 awards also available

Selection Process:

• Reviewed by TLHIP backbone team
• Award determinations made by Saint Francis Memorial Hospital President

• University bachelor's degrees
