Thrive Philanthropy - Thrive Grant

The Thrive Grant supports initiatives aimed at establishing equitable, plant-based food systems by decreasing animal consumption and promoting vegan advocacy. Targeting mid-size to larger organizations with proven success, the grant encourages proposals that align with Thrive Philanthropy's mission. Eligible applicants should demonstrate a strong community reputation and are expected to operate outside the U.S. Notably, the grant excludes for-profit entities and projects that exploit animals.

The Thrive Grant funds initiatives that create just, plant-based food systems by reducing the consumption or demand of animals, replacing industrial animal agriculture, or for vegan advocacy. The Grant is geared toward mid-size to larger organizations and/or organizations with a track record of success.

Eligibility

Proposals that aim to create just, vegan food systems by reducing the global consumption of animals, reducing industrial animal agriculture, or for vegan advocacy.Aligns with Thrive Philanthropy’s safespace policy.Outside the United States and/or are not an international chapter of a US-based organization.Applicants must consistently demonstrate a positive reputation with their stakeholders and community and can contribute to Thrive Philanthropy’s positive reputation.Not a for-profit company.

Ineligibility

Cellular agriculture initiativesProjects or organizations that benefit, support, or are impartial to the exploitation of animals, including humansOrganizations or projects that provide material aid or vegan food aid to the military or policeFor-profit companies, including restaurants or other businessesFood banks, food giveaways, meal distributions, hunger-reliefFarmed animal welfare campaignsAnimal farming or other animal useProjects that use animal products (animal-based food, leather, etc.)Political parties or candidate endorsementTuition, student research, university feesWork within the United States or international chapters of USA organizationsChapters of large international organizations.
