Therapeutic Giving: Cardiovascular & Metabolism: Local & Regional Organizations Grant

The Therapeutic Giving program by Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine focuses on supporting nonprofit organizations that enhance patient access to treatment in cardiovascular and metabolic health. Applications are encouraged for initiatives that promote education, empower patients, and address healthcare disparities. Eligible organizations must be IRS 501(c)(3) certified, with a preference for programs demonstrating measurable outcomes. The funding period for local organizations extends from January to October 15th, while national organizations can apply in September.

Janssen is interested in funding programs and initiatives that improve patient access to treatment and services, advance health equity and strengthen frontline health workforces within the therapeutic areas noted.
Disease Areas
Stroke Prevention in Atrial Fibrillation, in particular populations who are obese.Thromboembolic Disease, patients at risk for VTE, both adult and pediatric populations.Vascular Protection (CAD/PAD) and prevention of amputation
Areas of Interest
Overall, we will support programs and initiatives that assist patients and caregivers impacted by the diseases noted below in the Cardiovascular therapeutic area, with a preference toward:
Education of patients and caregivers on the respective disease areasFamily/caregiver support, wellness education, advocacy supportInnovative efforts to empower patients to manage their diseaseTools to assist patients & families related to anti-coagulant therapyEfforts to build skills of professionals and caregivers to improve patient outcomesEfforts to address healthcare disparities for marginalized or at-risk groups (outreach & awareness, education to policy makers, stigma & cultural competence initiatives)Advocacy initiatives on access to care to treat individual patient needs

Eligibility

Only nonprofit organizations classified by the IRS as 501 (c)(3) are eligible to apply for a charitable contribution.All contribution requests are reviewed for compliance with our policies and relevant legal and industry requirements, including guidelines set forth by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA).Applications are evaluated competitively with emphasis given to innovative programs with measurable outcomes that address disparities or areas of high unmet need.Funding decisions will consider prevalence, population served, program design, organizational capacity, and anticipated outcomes.

Ineligibility

Faxed, e-mailed and postal-mailed requests will not be considered. Some requests or categories may not meet our guidelines for giving.
