The Young Family Foundation The Young Family Foundation is a tax-exempt organization whose purpose is to: Foster the benefits of higher education by awarding academic college scholarships and vocational school scholarships to worthy graduates of Ganado High School, Louise High School, Tidehaven High School who live in the YK Communications voice and broadband internet service area and will/are attending an accredited College or University located in the state of Texas, and one scholarship to a worthy student from El Campo High School.Foster activities of youth by awarding funds for projects of the Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Schools, school organizations, and other youth programs whose activities are located in the YK Communications voice and broadband internet service area,Promote goodwill in the community by awarding funds for community projects through Local Government and organizations such as Volunteer Firemen, Emergency Medical Services, Helping Hands, Churches, and other charitable organizations located in the YK Communications voice and broadband internet service area, Provide funds to other charitable organizations such as the National MPS Society, American Red Cross, American Cancer Society, and other nationally recognized charitable organizations. Young Family Foundation Grants The Young Family Foundation promotes good will in the community by awarding funds for community projects and youth activities through local government, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, and other charitable organizations. The Directors will evaluate requests for grants using the prescribed application to determine that: The applicant is an appropriate entity to receive funding from the Foundation.The funds will be used in the tax-exempt function of the applicant.The applicant has made other internal efforts at raising funds for the project under consideration.No self-dealing will occur if a grant is made to the applicant.Eligibility
