Program Focus: The Trailblazer Scholarship is designed to assist motivated Genesis City participants who are striving for a brighter future by assisting them with their living expenses throughout their high school and post-secondary career.

Target Population

• Underprivileged youth (ages not specified, but focuses on high school and post-secondary students)
• Students committed to achieving high grades, community service, and lifelong leadership skills
• Students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds

Program Goals

• Build future leaders and mentors
• Provide tools for youth to be the change they wish to see in the world
• Teach lifelong leadership skills and education for professional and personal growth
• Support students throughout educational journey from high school through post-secondary programs

Partnership

• Partnered with LeadAZ, which teaches curriculum based on 26 years of business management research
• Skills taught include: personal wellbeing, social skills, honing personal hobbies and talents
• Students assigned a leadership coach to support success in and out of classroom

Award Components

Selected participants receive access to:
• Transportation funds
• School supplies
• Laptop computer
• Free textbooks
• Funds for living expenses
• Food or other necessities for family
• Medical and dental services assistance
• College scholarship assistance (must apply)
• Dorm supplies (if living on university campus)
• Assistance with living expenses (must apply and provide documentation of need)
• Assistance with family emergency bills (must be verified and approved)
