Overview

The Robert and Amy Sanders Experienced Student Scholarship Bob and Amy were raised in working-class homes and began their work lives at a young age. In his early twenties, Bob owned a successful business that was destroyed by fire and forced him to reconsider the next stage of his life. By her early twenties, Amy was working in an administrative assistant role with little chance for advancement. At these pivotal points, both made the decision to return to school and begin again. Knowing the impact that education as adults had on their lives, they were inspired to assist others who are at a similar point-of-change in their lives to obtain the education they need to pursue their own new ambitions; either to begin a new career or advance in their current line of work. Award Amount: One $500 non-renewable scholarship award for cost of attendance, payable for the first semester at a college/university or technical college. Loss of Eligibility: Failure to register as a part-time or full-time student at Fox Valley Technical College for the fall semester. (If renewable award, student must maintain a cumulative 3.0 GPA.)
