Donna Van Asten ‘Face Forward’ Fellowship Grant

The Donna Van Asten ‘Face Forward’ Fellowship supports sophomore or junior nursing students at St. Norbert College demonstrating resilience and commitment to success despite challenges. Two non-renewable $5,000 scholarships are awarded for tuition expenses in the fall semester. This fellowship honors Donna Van Asten's legacy as a compassionate mentor, encouraging students to embrace opportunities and make a lasting impact on their communities through service and determination.

We do this by connecting individual gifts to nonprofits through grants.
These funds generate grants for the long-term benefit of the people of the Fox Valley region of Wisconsin.
Donna Van Asten, affectionately known as “Aunt Donna” focused on her unique strengths and abilities rather than the obstacles on her path, and never looked back. To honor her memory, this fellowship is awarded to individual(s) who “face forward” despite challenges, carry on, seize the opportunity to succeed and in so doing make a lasting impact.
Award Amount
Two $5,000 non-renewable scholarship awards for tuition expenses for fall semester.

Eligibility

Sophomore or junior college students entering their junior or senior year at St. Norbert College as a full-time studentParticipating in the Nursing Partnership Program through St. Norbert College and Bellin College
Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA for the first 2 years of college
Demonstrated learning outside the classroom, such as participation in activities, career development, and/or involvement in community service/service to othersOvercoming obstacles and challenges in the face of adversity with a demonstrated determination to face forward and succeedStudents may apply each year they are eligible

Ineligibility

Loss of Eligibility:Failure to register as a full-time student entering the junior or senior year participating in the Nursing Partnership Program through St. Norbert College, in De Pere, Wisconsin, and Bellin College, in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
