The Organizing Accelerator

Geographic Scope: Alabama, Mississippi, Oklahoma, West Virginia (Groundwork states)

Overview:
A first-of-its-kind partnership between Groundwork Fund and the NAACP. The Organizing Accelerator is a training, mentoring and networking fellowship program designed to train and mentor the next generation of organizing leaders working on democracy's frontlines. The program helps local leaders build full-time organizing careers where they are challenged, cared for and compensated fairly.

Target Population:

• Emerging grassroots organizers
• Community organizers and campaigners
• Social justice advocates
• Civil rights leaders
• Talented emerging organizers who may otherwise lack access to traditional training programs and leadership institutes

Eligibility:

• Emerging leaders in Groundwork's focus states
• Commitment to community organizing and democracy protection
• Must be ready to be trained and mentored as part of a cohort

Award Structure:

• Fellowship program with training and mentoring
• Full-time organizing career support
• Fair compensation provided

• Build a diverse, inclusive, and representative bench of organizers for today and future generations
