The Nala Fund
Funder: Heritage Fund - The Community Foundation
Established: 2020 by the May family after the tragic and sudden loss of their dog Nala
Fund Type: Field of Interest Fund
Purpose: To help local veterinarians provide emergency medical care to dogs in need and to provide care for dogs waiting to be adopted from local shelters.
How It Works: Working in partnership with the Bartholomew County Humane Society (BCHS), Animal Care Services and hearts4paws, local veterinarians are able to request funds for dogs in need.
Fund Administration: Funds will be administered annually on a first-come, first-served basis.
