The Jenna’s Rainbow Moving Forward Grant

The Jenna’s Rainbow Moving Forward Grant, offered by the Children’s Brain Tumor Foundation, provides crucial financial assistance to adult survivors of brain or spinal cord tumors. Aimed at fostering independence, this grant supports costs associated with job transitions, new living situations, and resources to enhance self-sufficiency. Eligible applicants must be at least 18 years old, diagnosed before 21, and not have received recent funding from CBTF or JRF. This initiative empowers survivors to overcome challenges and move forward in their lives.

The purpose of this grant is to provide financial assistance to help an adult brain or spinal cord tumor survivor move into a new chapter of life or manage challenges resulting from their diagnosis or treatment impacting their independence.
The Moving Forward Grant may be used for costs associated with transitioning to a new job, a new position or a new living situation (security deposit, moving expenses etc.); acquiring resources to obtain a job (computer, phone, car repair, driving lessons, etc.) or more independence (hearing aids, adaptive equipment or skill building classes, etc.).  Awards are given to survivors who have faced adversity and for whom financial assistance will help enable them to fulfill their goals of moving forward.

Eligibility

Application Qualifications:
Minimum 18 years old (there is no maximum age)Must reside in the United StatesDiagnosed with a brain or spinal cord tumor before the age of 21DID NOT receive a CBTF or JRF scholarship and/or grant in the last 12 monthsRecent high school graduate, college graduates or adults taking steps towards becoming more independent;

Ineligibility

Please do not apply if you are currently enrolled in school.Grants are not awarded to assist with any costs (tuition, books, school housing, etc.) associated with higher education.
