The Home Office Giving Program by the CarMax Foundation supports nonprofits in the Greater Richmond, Virginia area, focusing on education, health, and community resilience. With over $65 million invested in local causes, the program aims to uplift underserved youth and adults through initiatives in workforce readiness, health education, and neighborhood revitalization. Eligibility

The Home Office Giving Program is designed to make the Greater Richmond, Virginia area a thriving community for families to live and work.Supported Richmond Nonprofits should:

• Support underserved youth and/or adults in the counties of Chesterfield, Goochland, Henrico, or the city of Richmond
• Promote education & workforce success, health & wellness or resilient communities; and
• Show a demonstrable need based upon the (a) demand for the program or (b) population served by the program

Ineligibility

The Carmax Foundation is unable to support:

• Requests for the donation of vehicles
• Business ventures or requests for loan or debt retirements

Organizations that limit membership, employment or services based on such attributes as race, color, gender, disability, sexual orientation, religious affiliation, gender identity, national origin, marital status, and/or citizenship.
Organizations that conflict with the CarMax Auto Superstores, Inc., mission, goals, programs, or products
Labor and political organizations or campaigns
Requests for capital campaigns, endowments, event sponsorships, or scholarships
Organizations categorized by the IRS as a church, convention, or association of churches
