The award is for a period of one academic year. Blake had three passions in life: farming, baseball, and hunting. He excelled in all three. As a member of a 4th generation Mississippi farm family, Blake was a promising young farmer with an unwavering dedication to agriculture. Blake was an exceptional individual, known for his authenticity, humility, and easy-going nature. He cherished spending time with his family and friends, whether by the water or on the farm. Blake had an incredible ability to turn the worst day into the best one with his magical hug, a funny joke, and a sly little grin that could melt anyone's heart. He was simply loved by everyone who met him. Tragically, his life was cut short due to an unfortunate accident. To honor Blake's memory and his passion for agriculture, the Blake Coghlan Memorial Agriculture Scholarship Fund was established. This scholarship aims to inspire and support young individuals who share Blake's dedication to farming and agriculture.
