JXN Water Scholarship Grant

The JXN Water Scholarship is aimed at Hinds County high school seniors who wish to pursue STEM degrees leading to careers in water and wastewater management. Established by the Community Foundation for Mississippi, this scholarship addresses workforce shortages in Jackson's water system. Scholarship Information
The JXN Water Scholarship was established at the Community Foundation for Mississippi to address critical workforce shortages in Jackson’s water system. Ted Henifin, the interim third-party manager of the water system, recognized the urgent need for qualified professionals to ensure efficient operation and management of water and wastewater services.
To support this mission, the scholarship provides financial assistance to high school seniors interested in pursuing degrees in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) disciplines that could lead to careers in water and wastewater operations and management.
