THA Nurse Residency Collaborative

Program Type: Nursing transition-to-practice program

Geographic Scope: Tennessee

Program Overview: Collaborative group of nursing and development professionals invested in developing best practices and programming to support nurses during their transition to practice. Provides two elements: collaborative meetings and access to structured nurse residency programs.

Program Models:

    Model 1: THA Nurse Residency Program

  • Eligibility: Hospitals with fewer than 30 new graduate nurses per year (LPN & RN)
  • Structure: Centralized model serving multiple hospitals across Tennessee
  • Participating Hospitals: Big South Fork Medical Center, Blount Memorial Hospital, Lauderdale Community Hospital, Macon Community Hospital, Siskin Rehabilitation Hospital, Sweetwater Hospital Association, West Tennessee Healthcare Henry County Hospital, Williamson Health

    Model 2: Vizient/AACN Partnership

  • Eligibility: Hospitals wanting to create their own program based on Vizient/AACN Nurse Residency Program™
  • Benefits: Preferred pricing for THA Nurse Residency Collaborative members
  • Participating Hospitals: Dolly Parton Children's Hospital

Eligible Participants: Newly graduated licensed practical or registered nurses within the first 6 months of practice

Program Duration: Monthly sessions for program length
