Funding Priorities

THF currently funds projects addressing one or both of the following priorities:
• Access to mental health, healthcare, or healthy living
• Measurably increasing or retaining the number of nurses in the 4-county region

Particular interest is given to programs meeting both priorities simultaneously.

Focus Areas

THF has historically funded programs in:
• Behavioral Health (mental health and substance use)
• Dental health
• Diabetes
• Healthy Living and/or Prevention
• HIV and/or STD services
• Hospice Care
• Nursing
• Primary Care

Eligibility Requirements

• Eligible applicants: Non-profit organizations including 501(c)(3)s, schools, educational organizations, government agencies, churches, and religious institutions
• Geographic requirement: Organization must serve residents within Marshall, Bryan, Grayson, or Fannin counties
• Service requirement: For organizations located outside the 4-county area, must provide documentation of direct service and impact within the 4-county region. Dollars must be expended for direct benefit of residents in the service area.
• Project types: Projects and capital campaigns are eligible

What THF Does Not Fund

No specific exclusions listed, but funding is limited to health and wellness priorities and nursing retention.

Fannin County Hospital Authority Fund

A specialized fund within THF structure:
• Purpose: Support health and well-being of Fannin County residents
• Priority: Mental health and wellness programs, plus access to care
• Geographic priority: Organizations physically providing services within Fannin County receive priority
• Administration: Overseen by Fannin County Hospital Authority with THF as fiduciary agent
