Community Screenings Grants

The Alterra Mountain Company Community Foundation offers grants to support community screenings of "The Paradise Paradox," a documentary exploring the mental health crisis affecting America's mountain towns.

Geographic Scope: Alterra Mountain Company and Ikon Pass communities in the U.S. and Canada, including: Alta Ski Area, Alyeska Resort, Arapahoe Basin, Aspen Snowmass, Big Bear Mountain Resort, Big Sky Resort, Blue Mountain (Ont.), Blue Mountain Resort (PA), Boyne Mountain, Brighton, Camelback Resort, CMH Heli Skiing & Summer Adventures, Copper Mountain, Crystal Mountain, Cypress Mountain, Deer Valley Resort, Eldora Mountain Resort, The Highlands, Killington-Pico, Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, June Mountain, Loon Mountain, Mammoth Mountain, Mt. Bachelor, Palisades Tahoe, Panorama, Red Mountain, Revelstoke Mountain Resort, Schweitzer, SkiBig3, Snowbasin, Snowbird, Snowshoe, Snow Valley, Solitude Mountain Resort, Steamboat, Stratton, Sugarbush, Sugarloaf, The Summit at Snoqualmie, Sunday River, Sun Peaks Resort, Sun Valley, Taos, Tremblant, Windham Mountain Club, Winter Park

• Community mental health awareness
• Dialogue about mental health challenges in mountain communities
• Resource awareness and education

Eligible Applicants: Community screenings at Alterra Mountain Company resorts and/or Ikon Pass partner resorts

Grant Criteria:

• One screening event per community
• Funds can support venue costs, refreshments, marketing and communications, travel for out-of-town panelists or speakers, and/or post-screening gatherings

Film Details: "The Paradise Paradox" is executive produced by Olympic ski racer Bode Miller and Emmy Award-winning impact sports filmmaker Brett Rapkin. It explores root causes of mental health challenges including isolation, lack of resources, substance abuse, and stigma

Application Process
