Overview: The Alterra Mountain Company Community Foundation offers grants to support community screenings of "The Paradise Paradox," a documentary exploring the mental health crisis affecting America's mountain towns.

  • Community mental health awareness

  • Dialogue about mental health challenges in mountain communities

  • Resource awareness and education
  • Eligible Applicants: Community screenings at Alterra Mountain Company resorts and/or Ikon Pass partner resorts

    Grant Criteria:

  • One screening event per community

  • Funds can support venue costs, refreshments, marketing and communications, travel for out-of-town panelists or speakers, and/or post-screening gatherings
  • Film Details: "The Paradise Paradox" is executive produced by Olympic ski racer Bode Miller and Emmy Award-winning impact sports filmmaker Brett Rapkin. It explores root causes of mental health challenges including isolation, lack of resources, substance abuse, and stigma
