Overview: A historic federal grant awarded to the Texas Solar for All Coalition to deliver residential solar to more than 46,000 low-income and disadvantaged communities and households across Texas.

Achieve at least 20% savings on customer electricity bills in targeted communities

Low-income and disadvantaged residential communities

Multifamily properties

Single-family homes

Cities, counties, and community-based organizations serving eligible populations

Coalition Leadership: Harris County leads the coalition, including multiple cities, counties, and community-based organizations

Project Duration: Five years

Background: Part of President Biden's $7 billion in federal grants for residential solar projects announced on Earth Day 2024. 60 recipients nationwide (49 states, six Tribes, and five multistate awards) were chosen to provide solar to nearly 1 million households in low- and middle-income communities across the country.
