EnergySmarts Grant Program

United Cooperative Services provides grant funding to eligible members for installation and implementation of energy efficiency measures and some renewable distributed generation applications. The program helps members implement projects to offset rising energy costs, reduce energy consumption, and protect the environment.

Geographic Scope: United Cooperative Services service area (Texas)

Funding Details:

• Residential Efficiency Measures: Up to $1,000 maximum
• Residential Solar-Powered Distributed Generation: Up to $100 maximum
• Total Program Fund: $100,000 combined disbursements
• Distribution Method: First-come, first-served basis until funds exhausted

Eligibility Requirements - Residential:

• Members at or below 200% of federal poverty level
• Own or are in process of purchasing a home
• Home must be served by United
• Renters are ineligible
• Energy audit required to identify/validate potential energy conservation measures
• One residential grant per member

Eligible Projects:

• Energy efficiency retrofits
• New construction efficiency measures
• Residential solar-powered distributed generation applications
