Eligibility

You can learn more about this opportunity by visiting the funder's website. The Foundation makes grants to organizations that are exempt under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code only.  In addition, the Foundation has a geographic limitation that requires that grant funds be used in the State of Texas.Requests for operating costs are acceptable so long as they relate specifically to one or more of the Foundation’s Program Goals. As part of the evaluation process, Foundation staff may request an appointment to conduct a site visit. The purpose of the visit will be to tour the organization’s facilities and to meet with staff, trustees and constituencies of potential grantee organizations. Among the matters discussed will be the processes in place to collect data and evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed program. This will be a chance for Foundation staff to gain a better understanding of the potential grantee organization, its proposed project or program, see first-hand who will be served, and assess the capacity of the potential grantee to carry out its objectives. Visits are brief so do not feel the need to entertain Foundation staff in any way.
