Tennis Venue Services: Facility Funding Grant

The USTA's Tennis Venue Services provides funding for tennis facilities, emphasizing community and growth. Grants are available for various projects, including basic improvements, resurfacing, and new constructions. With funding up to $55,000 based on project type, the program supports collegiate organizations in enhancing their facilities. The USTA offers competitive grant applications to facilities that meet additional requirements outlined below:

• Category I - Low Complexity - Up to 50% of total project cost

AmenitiesBasic Facility improvements, including fixed tennis court amenities (i.e. backboards, windscreens, smart court access, etc.) and blended 36’ and 60’ tennis line installation on existing tennis courts. (Maximum $5,000)Tennis Court TechIntegration of technology on tennis courts to enhance the playing experience and assist with facility management, including SmartAccess gates, video broadcasting and streaming technology, scoreboards, and electric line calling ("ELC") systems that meet ITF Silver accreditation or higher. (Maximum $10,000)Inclusive AccessInstallation of amenities and facility features that enhance tennis court accessibility, including widening gates, installing ramps, and paving pathways to create a more inclusive environment for all players, regardless of mobility. (Maximum $10,000)
Category II - Mid Complexity - Maximum $60k
Resurfacing In addition to acrylic resurfacing, resurfacing existing tennis courts may include crack repair systems, overlay treatments, patching birdbaths, and leveling high areas to reestablish the court’s evenness. Organizations are eligible to receive funding once in a 12-month period per site. (Up to $8,000 Per Court)LightingInstallation of new or upgrades to existing tennis court lighting systems and fixtures that falls within class I-III levels per the American Sports Builders Association (ASBA) guidelines. Class IV can be considered for TVS Category I amenity funding. (Up to $15,000 Per Court)FencingInstallation of new or repairs to existing tennis court fencing. (Up to $12,000 Per Court)
Category III - High Complexity - Maximum $150k
New constructionNew construction and reconstruction of 78' tennis courts. (Up to $35,000 Per Court)Indoor StructuresConstruction or installation of tennis court enclosures including air structures (or bubbles), fabric-frame structures, rigid framed metal buildings, and indoor tennis buildings. (Up to $50,000 Per Court)

Eligibility

The Grantee must be a collegiate organization and in good standing with all applicable local, state, and federal laws, regulations and guidelines.
