Overview:
Excellence in Education provides grants to TTUSD teachers to support innovative classroom projects, supplemental materials, equipment, and curriculum enhancements. Recent funded projects include:

1. Anatomage Tablets ($26,069) - Truckee High School
- 10 Anatomage Tablets for anatomy and biomedical science education
- Interactive 3D models of human cadavers
- Used in Principles of Biomedical Science, Anatomy, and Forensic Science courses

2. River Ecology and Marine Biology Grant ($9,620) - Truckee High School
- Dissection and lab materials
- Water and soil quality monitoring equipment
- Field guide creation resources

3. STEAMing Up With Legos ($6,110) - North Tahoe School
- BricQ Motion and SPIKE Lego robotics systems
- Replaces retired Mindstorm EV3 system
- Benefits ~150 students annually in STEAM elective
- Coding and robotics education for grades 6-7

4. Beverage Cart for Life Skills ($2,142) - Tahoe Lake Elementary
- Food and beverage cart operated by special education students
- Develops communication, social, and vocational skills
- Supports environmental sustainability education

5. Law 1 Course Supplemental Materials ($798) - Truckee High School
- 40 copies of "Surviving Justice: America's Wrongfully Convicted and Exonerated"
- Supports new Career Technical Education law course
- Used in criminal law and appellate courts units
