T. Denny Sanford (TDS) Fund Grants

The T. Denny Sanford Fund Grants support educational initiatives for Chi Psi Alphas. Established by the Chi Psi Educational Trust, these grants aim to enhance learning opportunities. Applications are due annually on February 1, with decisions made by May 15 and funds distributed by July 1. The Trust also accepts emergency grant requests at any time. This funding promotes educational growth within the Chi Psi fraternity, emphasizing its commitment to brotherhood and academic excellence.

Founding
Chi Psi was founded on May 20, 1841 at Union College in Schenectady, NY. The eighth fraternity founded in the United States and the fifth at Union itself, Chi Psi was unique, being the first fraternity to be founded upon principles of Brotherhood and as a social fraternity.
TDS Fund Grant requests will be considered, and may be awarded by the Trust, to provide educational support benefiting Chi Psi Alphas. Applications are due on February 1 of each year. Grants will be decided upon by May 15. Funds will be dispersed by July 1. The Trust will consider emergency TDS Grant applications as they are submitted.

Eligibility

Is the requesting alumni entity in good standing with its state of incorporation and the IRS?
Does the request stipulate that the grant be made to a charitable entity; Is the request clearly educational?
Name of charitable entity?If clearly educational, is there documentation to support it (such as a receipt/estimate for study room furniture, equipment, etc.)?Is the request using a Lodge educational study?
If so, is the study on file with the Central Office?If so, is there documentation to support the request (such as a detailed annual operating budget)?
