Overview

Founding Chi Psi was founded on May 20, 1841 at Union College in Schenectady, NY. The eighth fraternity founded in the United States and the fifth at Union itself, Chi Psi was unique, being the first fraternity to be founded upon principles of Brotherhood and as a social fraternity. T. Denny Sanford (TDS) Fund Grants TDS Fund Grant requests will be considered, and may be awarded by the Trust, to provide educational support benefiting Chi Psi Alphas. Applications are due on February 1 of each year. Grants will be decided upon by May 15. Funds will be dispersed by July 1. The Trust will consider emergency TDS Grant applications as they are submitted.
