Overview

Synergy Leadership Internship Program

Overview: A 10-week paid leadership development and internship opportunity designed specifically for college students from the Syracuse area. The program is built to help cultivate strong professional skills and develop exceptional work ethic.

    • Work Schedule

    • Monday-Thursday: Work at assigned worksite (8:30 AM - 4:30 PM or 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM)
    • Friday: Power Fridays at Clarence Jordan Vision Center (8:30 AM - 4:30 PM) - workshops and leadership training
    • Remote placements: Up to 30 hours per week with flexible start/end times
    • Lunch break: Half hour unpaid lunch break required

      Work Modalities

    • In-person placements with direct mentorship and hands-on experience
    • Remote placements with weekly video check-ins and virtual team meetings
    • Hybrid placements combining remote and in-person work

      Matching Process

    • Application and interview process to create personalized portfolio
    • Portfolio compared with partner worksite job descriptions
    • Meeting scheduled between student and partner worksite
    • Partner worksites may interview multiple candidates

    How to Apply

    Application Process

    2. Interview Process: Selected candidates will be interviewed to gather data for personalized portfolio creation

    3. Portfolio Development: Data from application and interview is used to create a personalized candidate portfolio

    4. Worksite Matching: Portfolio is compared with job descriptions from partner worksites to identify good fit opportunities

    5. Worksite Meeting: If matched, a meeting is scheduled between candidate and partner worksite

    6. Worksite Interview: Partner organizations may interview multiple candidates to ensure best team fit

    7. Confirmation & Onboarding Prep: Once match is confirmed, student receives preparation for onboarding with the organization

    8. Orientation Week: Attend pre-internship workshops and activities at Clarence Jordan Vision Center (one week before worksite start)
