Susan's Savings First Time Home Buyers Program

Funder: Trilogy Health Services Foundation (Initiated by Susan Bufford, wife of Trilogy Founder Randy Bufford)

Purpose: To help Trilogy employees save for and purchase their first home through a matching savings program.

Eligibility:

  • Full-time and part-time employees

  • Must be a first-time home buyer

  • Must have been employed at Trilogy for over 6 months

  • Must be in good standing with the company

  • Must meet charitable class guidelines: Employees whose hourly rate is greater than $28.80 are not eligible
  • Geographic Scope: Trilogy Health Services and Synchrony Health Services employees

    Program Structure - Match Ratios:
    The Trilogy Foundation matches employee savings at a 2:1 ratio based on savings duration and amount:

  • 6 months: Save up to $1,000 → Foundation grants up to $2,000 (total $3,000)

  • 1 year: Save up to $1,500 → Foundation grants up to $3,000 (total $4,500)

  • 2 years: Save up to $2,500 → Foundation grants up to $5,000 (total $7,500)

  • 3 years: Save up to $3,500 → Foundation grants up to $7,000 (total $10,500)
  • Maximum Benefit: Employees can receive up to $7,000 in matched funds

  • Employees must save via direct deposit with Fifth Third Bank (banking partner)

  • Minimum savings period required: 6 months

    How to Set Up and Participate

    Enrollment Steps:
    1. Verify eligibility (employed 6+ months, in good standing, hourly rate $28.80 or less, first-time home buyer)
    2. Set up direct deposit savings account with Fifth Third Bank (Trilogy's banking partner)
    3. Log into your UKG account
    4. Navigate to "Pay" → "Direct Deposit" → "Add Direct Deposit"
    5. Add your Fifth Third savings account
    6. Elect the amount you wish to save per pay period
    7. Maintain savings for minimum required period to receive match

    Savings Requirements:

  • Must save via direct deposit (automatic payroll deduction)

  • Minimum 6-month commitment required

  • Match amount depends on duration of savings (see overview for match schedule)

  • Can elect to save any amount, as long as minimum time period is maintained
  • Fund Withdrawal:

  • Funds paid directly to an approved mortgage company of your choice

  • Available for first-time home purchase
