Overview

Federal HUD grant program appropriating $225 million in competitive funding for preservation and revitalization of manufactured housing and manufactured housing communities (MHCs). Supports communities in efforts to maintain, protect, and stabilize manufactured housing. Kentucky's program includes two primary initiatives: (1) Kentucky ROCs - preserve and improve existing manufactured housing communities by acquiring and converting them to resident-owned cooperatives, and (2) Kentucky Targeted Owner-Occupied Emergency MHU Replacement Program - replace unsafe manufactured housing units constructed prior to 1976 that pose health and safety threats to low-income Kentuckians. Funding may be deployed across any of Kentucky's 120 counties within a successful applicant's service area.
