Supporting Our Neighbors Fund Grants (Community Foundation for Monterey County)

The Community Foundation for Monterey County established the Supporting Our Neighbors Fund to assist nonprofit organizations providing support for individuals and families facing urgent needs due to immigration and policy-related concerns. Areas of support are community outreach, legal assistance, community education about immigrant and LGBTQ+ rights, basic needs, access to mental and physical health services, and food security; CFMC states the guidelines are subject to change to stay flexible and responsive. The stated grant range is $10,000-$30,000, applications are invitation-only, and awards are made as needed. Recent grants include ACTION Council of Monterey County ($100,000), Watsonville Law Center ($185,000), Ventures ($115,000) and Epicenter of Monterey ($20,000).

Read the grant guidelines, then submit through CFMC's online grants manager. Applications are by invitation only from organizations with existing programs, demonstrated ability to collect and manage data and recent successful outcomes; CFMC notes additional applications may be accepted as the program grows.
