Overview

MPRPD Transportation Grants Monterey Peninsula Regional Park District (MPRPD) established the Transportation Grant Fund of the Community Foundation for Monterey County to increase recreational, environmental, and cultural education access to the Park District’s natural areas, open spaces, museums, working landscapes, and cultural sites while supporting the MPRPD mission and values to have accessible open space for education and recreation enjoyment and protection of natural and cultural resources, native habitat and wildlife. Description To increase recreational, environmental, and cultural education access to the Park District’s parks and reserves.

Eligibility

Transportation grants are open to 501(c)3 nonprofit organizations, schools, school districts, and public agencies based in and serving Monterey, Santa Cruz, and San Benito County residents. All organizations must have received a Special Use Permit from MPRPD and/or have an approved MOU with MPRPD. Activities must occur on MPRPD properties specifically supporting MPRPD’s mission and the Transportation Grant’s purpose.Transportation grants will be considered for transportation-related expenses for group visits or field trips to MPRPD’s park or preserve.
