Geographic Scope: Mackinac Island, Michigan

Eligibility: Local nonprofit 501(c)(3) organizations, schools, or governmental organizations serving Mackinac Island

The SUN Fund provides flexible grant funding that can be applied for throughout the year, offering an alternative to the traditional spring and fall grant cycles. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.

Support Us Now (SUN) Fund Application Process

1. Contact MICF for application guidelines and to discuss your project
2. Complete the application including:
   • Description of what grant funds will be used for
   • Amount of funding requested (up to $5,000)
   • Explanation of why the project is important to Mackinac Island
   • Identification of target audience and who will be served
   • Evidence supporting project need
   • Overall goal for the project
   • Project timeline
   • Full project budget
3. Submit application (rolling basis - no specific deadline)
