Scholarships for Mackinac Island Public School Graduates

Eligibility: Graduating seniors from Mackinac Island Public School planning to attend college, university, or trade school

MICF awards multiple scholarships annually to MIPS graduates. The foundation offers several named scholarship funds that support students pursuing higher education.

Notable Scholarship Programs:

• Founder's Scholarship Fund: Multi-year scholarship for students who have attended MIPS from 8th through 12th grades and plan to attend college, university, or trade school. Award: $1,875 per semester (2 per year for 4 years). Since 2016, the Founder's Fund Scholarship has awarded over $412,000.

• Total scholarships awarded: $89,937
• 5 graduating students received awards ranging from $7,068 to $22,240
• Named funds include: Stella King Scholarship Fund, John F. Franks Scholarship Fund, Mark Gallagher Scholarship Fund, Nancy Reeser Scholarship Fund for Women, Margaret W. and Wesley H. Maurer Scholarship Fund
