Funding Period: May 1 - June 30 (annually)

Focus Areas: Youth development, summer enrichment, academic support, STEAM learning, social and life skills, health, and recreation

Target Population: School-age youth (5-16 years old) from under-resourced families (at or below federal poverty levels, eligible for free and reduced lunch programs)

Eligibility Criteria

• Serve students in under-resourced families (at or below federal poverty levels)
• Students must receive services at no cost
• Programs must serve a minimum of 20 students
• Programs must be licensed or obtain license exemption status for the summer prior to program start
• Full or half-day programs (minimum of 4 hours)

Funding Details

• Recent awards: $456,560 (2023), $318,749 (2024)
• Funds provided by Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education and Missouri Department of Social Services
• Programs include academic support/enrichment, STEAM learning, social and life skills, health, and recreation
• Daily nutritious meals/snacks provided
