Summer & Fall 2026 Travel Grant

Geographic Scope: United States and Canada

Award: 20 total $1,000 study abroad grants

Award Use: Grant awarded as credit to IFSA student account for payment toward IFSA program costs; cannot be disbursed as cash or transferred to non-IFSA programs or individuals

Eligibility

• Undergraduate student in good academic and disciplinary standing at two-year or four-year college
• Home institution must be in U.S. or Canada
• Must have completed at least one semester of college before participating in study abroad program
• IFSA also accepts recent graduates or students seeking graduate degrees (only undergraduate credit can be earned)
• Must meet host institution requirements (GPA minimums, language requirements)
• Eligible to enter only once
• Approval from home institution may be required

Terms & Conditions

• Grant cannot be disbursed as cash or in any form other than credit to IFSA account
• Cannot be transferred to another semester, non-IFSA program, or individual
• IFSA reserves right to withhold prizes for any reason
• Upon winning, recipients must:
- Provide confirmation of full name, home institution, major of study - Begin IFSA application for program of choice if not already started - Complete application by posted deadline for program - Sign IFSA Student Acceptance Agreement - Subject to all IFSA policies and host institution requirements
• Winners' general information (first name, home institution, major) may be shared publicly
