Overview

Studley College Trust A charity set up by the Governors and retiring Principal of Studley College, following its closure in 1969. It was established to encourage, assist and develop education, instruction and research in land-based subjects by financially assisting young people who wish to pursue a career in one of these areas but are restricted by financial constraints. Studley College Trust provides financial support in the form of student bursaries for study and training activities in the land-based industries, to a maximum of £2,000 in any academic year. Eligibility

Eligible students will: Be a British or Irish National Be enrolled as a student of a college or university Be aged between 18 and 30 (except cases of genuine career change) Be following a land-based course which will advance your career and benefit the UK industry Have had your career progress obstructed by lack of funds having utilised all other available allowances Be looking to gain early qualifications (as opposed to Masters and PhDs)What our bursaries DO cover:Accommodation costs (college accommodation, off campus lodgings or rent) Food Transport Books and Study materials Protective clothing where this is for necessary parts of the curriculum External tests / examination fees Course study trips between £500 and up to a maximum of £2,000The courses we're able to cover:AgricultureAgricultural EngineeringAgricultural or Horticultural MarketingArboricultureFish FarmingFood TechnologyForestryGame Keeping and Estate SkillsHorticulture
