Student Scholarship - Senior Division
Funder: Marin Music Chest
Geographic Scope: Marin County, CA
Focus: Merit-based scholarships for classical music students in the senior age division
- Age: Must be 14-18 years old at time of audition (March 21, 2026)
- Vocalists: Must be 18-22 years old at time of audition
- Residency: Must be a resident of Marin County for a minimum of 2 years prior to audition
- Music Study: Must have studied music for 2 years prior to audition
Eligibility
- Audition Date: March 21, 2026
- Location: First Presbyterian Church of San Rafael, 1510 Fifth Ave, San Rafael, CA 94901
- Required Materials: Perform required repertoire pieces from memory plus one optional piece of applicant's choosing
- Accompanist: Applicant must provide their own accompanist
Audition Details
- Alma Tomlinson Award: $500 additional award given annually to the most outstanding performer at senior auditions (selected unanimously by Artistic Committee)
- Robert Greenwood Award: Honors long-time colleague and former president Bob Greenwood; supports commitment to keeping classical music alive in Marin County
- Young Artist Award: Five musicians selected from all scholarship winners to perform at Young Artists Concert; performers receive an honorarium
