Student Scholarship - Junior Division

Geographic Scope: Marin County, CA

Focus: Merit-based scholarships for classical music students in the junior age division

Eligibility

• Age: Must be 10-13 years old at time of audition (March 7, 2026)
• Vocalists: Must be 14-17 years old at time of audition
• Residency: Must be a resident of Marin County for a minimum of 2 years prior to audition
• Music Study: Must have studied music for 2 years prior to audition

Audition Details

• Audition Date: March 7, 2026
• Location: First Presbyterian Church of San Rafael, 1510 Fifth Ave, San Rafael, CA 94901
• Required Materials: Perform required repertoire pieces from memory plus one optional piece of applicant's choosing
• Accompanist: Applicant must provide their own accompanist

Additional Awards

• Alma Tomlinson Award: $500 additional award given annually to the most outstanding performer at senior auditions (selected unanimously by Artistic Committee)
• Young Artist Award: Five musicians selected from all scholarship winners to perform at Young Artists Concert; performers receive an honorarium
