Student & Resident Research Award As part of the Choose Rheumatology campaign, the Foundation encourages students and residents to explore a career in the field of rheumatology. The purpose of the Student and Resident Research Award is to recognize outstanding students and residents for significant work in the field of rheumatology as evidenced by being an author or co-author of an abstract submitted to ACR Convergence 2025. ACR Convergence The meeting features the latest innovations, science, clinical and business best practices in rheumatology. Attendees will get first-hand access to the latest discoveries and research transforming rheumatic disease care as well as clinical applications that will improve the health of patients. It is an opportunity to experience personalized learning that allows attendees to expand their knowledge and to discover new areas of interest and focus within rheumatology. Award Amount: $1,000 award and a reimbursement of up to $1,000 for travel-related expenses (including airfare, ground transportation, hotel, and meals), plus complimentary registration to attend ACR Convergence 2025.Eligibility

Applicant must be one of the following: A medical student enrolled in a U.S.-based LCME- accredited medical school, or a graduate student enrolled in an accredited institution.A resident enrolled in a U.S.-based ACGME-accredited pediatric, medicine or combined medicine/pediatric residency program who is interested in rheumatology.Applicant must be an author or co-author of an abstract submitted to the 2025 ACR Convergence via the ACR/ARP abstract submission portal by the May 13, 2025 deadline.Applicant must have made a significant contribution to the work submitted in order to be considered for the award.Focus Areas & Funding Uses
