Student & Resident Research Award Grant

The Student & Resident Research Award, part of the Choose Rheumatology campaign, recognizes outstanding students and residents for significant contributions in rheumatology. Eligible applicants must be authors of abstracts submitted to ACR Convergence 2025 and can receive up to $2,000 in funding for travel and registration. This award promotes engagement in rheumatology through innovative learning experiences at ACR Convergence, enhancing the understanding and care for patients with rheumatic diseases.

As part of the Choose Rheumatology campaign, the Foundation encourages students and residents to explore a career in the field of rheumatology. The purpose of the Student and Resident Research Award is to recognize outstanding students and residents for significant work in the field of rheumatology as evidenced by being an author or co-author of an abstract submitted to ACR Convergence 2025.
ACR Convergence
The meeting features the latest innovations, science, clinical and business best practices in rheumatology. Attendees will get first-hand access to the latest discoveries and research transforming rheumatic disease care as well as clinical applications that will improve the health of patients. It is an opportunity to experience personalized learning that allows attendees to expand their knowledge and to discover new areas of interest and focus within rheumatology. Award Amount: $1,000 award and a reimbursement of up to $1,000 for travel-related expenses (including airfare, ground transportation, hotel, and meals), plus complimentary registration to attend ACR Convergence 2025.
