Overview: The Student Emergency Fund provides immediate financial assistance to help SUNY Orange students stay enrolled when unexpected expenses threaten their education.

Geographic Scope: SUNY Orange students

Eligibility:

  • Facing unexpected financial hardships

  • Experiencing financial emergency situations

    • What They Fund:

  • Prevention of eviction or utility shutoffs

  • Emergency childcare needs

  • Medical or transportation expenses

  • Other emergency costs that threaten student enrollment

    • Special Notes:

  • All gifts to the Student Emergency Fund are currently being matched by a generous donor

  • Funds go directly to students in need

  • Designed as a lifeline for students in unexpected situations who might otherwise give up on their education
