StoryCenter Scholarships

Geographic Scope: Berkeley and Denver locations

Mission: StoryCenter's mission to build a just and healthy world means making spaces for everyone to share their stories, particularly people whose voices are often marginalized or excluded.

    Target Populations

    Scholarships are specifically for:
  • People of color
  • Transgender and gender nonconforming people
  • People from low income and working class backgrounds
  • People with disabilities
  • Lesbian, gay, or bisexual people
  • Immigrants and refugees
  • Members of other marginalized groups

    Award Details

  • What they cover: Tuition costs only for a three-day in-person Digital Storytelling Workshop
  • Locations: Berkeley or Denver
  • Status: Scholarships are limited

    Eligible Workshops

  • Eligible: Public workshops with the goal of creating a story
  • Not Eligible: Workshops focused on facilitator training or information-based webinars
