Summary

The Stop & Shop School Food Pantry Program addresses childhood food insecurity by partnering with schools to establish or support food pantries. More than 9 million children in the U.S. face hunger, and this initiative ensures students from pre-K through college have access to meals, so they can focus on their education rather than their hunger. Currently, new applications are not accepted from schools in Boston or NYC boroughs due to capacity issues.

NOTE: We are currently NOT accepting new applications for schools located in the CITY OF BOSTON or in the NEW YORK CITY BOROUGHS, as the program is at full capacity in those areas. Stop & Shop School Food Pantry Program 1 in 5 children across the United States is unsure where their next meal will come from, according to the USDA. That is nearly 14 million children across the country. Stop & Shop works directly with schools to establish and support in-school food pantries to ensure that kids don't have to go to school hungry—and to help them perform their best. Stop & Shop Food Pantries nourish students ranging from pre-K through college. How it works Stop & Shop identifies schools in need within its communities and works to support a schools' existing food pantry program—or to help them establish one.
