Stock Farm Greater Ravalli Foundation General Scholarship

Overview: Two-year scholarship for high school seniors demonstrating exceptional desire and commitment to further their education and training.

Award Amount:

  • $16,000 for in-state recipients

  • $12,000 for out-of-state recipients

  • Good for use at ANY accredited post-secondary school

  • Special Montana provision: For students attending Carroll College, Montana State University, Montana Tech, Rocky Mountain College, The University of Montana, or The University of Montana Western, funding may be extended for junior and senior years (four-year scholarship) if criteria are met
  • Geographic Scope: Ravalli County, Montana (high school attendance requirement)

    Background:

  • Founded in 2002

  • Has awarded 485 scholarships totaling over $6.5 million since 2004

  • Awarding 41 scholarships for current cycle

  • 90% graduation rate (includes two-year schools)

  • Approximately 80% of recipients stay in-state
  • Eligible Applicants Must:

  • Have cumulative GPA of 2.0 or greater

  • Be graduating from a Ravalli County public high school during the current school year

  • Have attended the last two years of public high school in Ravalli County

  • Plan to attend an accredited post-secondary school full-time (in-state or out-of-state)

  • Include technical schools, two-year or four-year programs
  • Financial Need:

  • This is a need-based scholarship

  • Student Aid Index (SAI) should not exceed $35,000

  • *Extenuating circumstances may be considered even if SAI exceeds limit

  • Must submit entire SAI and FAFSA submission summary

  • Special consideration given to financial need
  • Scholarship Use:

  • Tuition, fees, room and board (on or off campus), and books
  • Post-Award Requirements:

  • Submit official transcript after each semester for first four semesters

  • Submit recap after each year of school

  • Keep in touch and provide current contact information after graduation to update records

  • Encouraged to submit as early as possible to address missing information before deadline
