STEM Grant
Funder: Rocky Mountain Chapter of AFCEA International
Geographic Scope: El Paso County, Pueblo, and surrounding communities in Colorado
Objective: Promote advancement of technology-related programs and encourage K-12 students to pursue careers in science, technology, and mathematics.
- K-12 teachers at accredited schools in El Paso County and surrounding communities, including Pueblo
Eligible Applicants
- Supplies and other science or math-related materials and classroom manipulatives
- Hardware and/or software intended for STEM-related instruction
- Materials for upgrades to existing programs or to start new STEM programs
- STEM kits (robotics, cyber, rocketry, drones, etc.)
- Projects deemed appropriate to further excellence in STEM
Eligible Uses of Funds
- Typical Award Range: $2,000 - $5,000
- Philosophy: No grant request is too small to fund. Goal is to positively impact as many students as possible by rewarding teachers across the community from elementary to high school with emphasis on total number of students benefiting from the grant
- Multiple Awards: Grant awards are not limited to one per school
Award Information
- Teacher must be at an accredited school in El Expo County and surrounding communities, including Pueblo
- Identify an appropriate use of funds
- Submit application form with all seven areas fully completed
- After award, provide receipts verifying the grant was used for the approved purpose
