Overview
State Partner Grants
Organization: Women's Public Leadership Network (WPLN)
Purpose: WPLN awards grants to existing and emerging state organizations who seek to serve diverse women by preparing them with the tools necessary to seek and secure elected and appointed office as well as those that aim to meaningfully engage in political processes within their communities.

- Expanding current programs and amplifying influence
- Identifying and removing barriers to mentoring and training for center-right women to seek elected or appointed office

Program Types
Operational & Program Grants (OPG): Awarded to existing partner states to help build-out capacity
New Development Cohort (NDC): Grants for newly recruited state partners. Organizations will follow a development process based on best practices in non-profit, training and political coalition building. This includes monthly meetings and check-ins with WPLN staff and other grantees.

- Organization must share WPLN mission
- Must have established 501(c)(3) or 501(c)(4) status
- Must demonstrate active engagement in the area of public policy and civic engagement
- Must work with women leaders and on issues related to women's empowerment
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity in leadership, programming, and participation

- An emphasis on individual and community responsibility based on the dignity of all persons
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity in leadership, programming, and participation
Core Values Required
- Participation: Invitation-only grant application
- Partner Benefits: Access to online and in-person training opportunities, leadership summits, and issues education
- Grantee Expectations: Each grantee will become not only a recipient of funds, but will be expected to serve as a thought leader and ambassador for WPLN. Individual success, innovation, expertise and experience will be shared among grantees to uncover promising practices that elevate center-right leaning women leadership across the country.
- Historical Award: In August 2020, WPLN awarded approximately $500,000 in total grants across 10 state-based organizations
