Overview

The State of Ohio Security Grant (OSG) provides funding to nonprofit organizations, houses of worship, chartered nonpublic schools, and licensed preschools for security improvements. Authorized by House Bill 33, eligible organizations can apply for funding up to $125,000 per site, with a maximum request of $250,000. This grant aims to enhance security measures against potential acts of terrorism, ensuring safety and preparedness in the community.

House Bill 33 of the 135th Ohio General Assembly authorize the Department of Public Safety and Ohio Emergency Management Agency to provide grant funding to nonprofit organizations, houses of worship, chartered nonpublic schools, and licensed preschools for eligible security improvements that assist the organization in preventing, preparing for, or responding to acts of terrorism.
An organization may apply for up to two sites with a maximum funding request for each site of $125,000 (maximum request per organization is s $250,000).
