Overview
Federal funding program for conservation of nongame species and their habitat to prevent listing under the Endangered Species Act. Supports proactive conservation measures for species not hunted or fished. Funding can be used to implement Louisiana's State Wildlife Action Plan or for planning purposes to modify, revise, or update the plan. Eligible projects include biological inventories, ecological research projects, habitat assessments, habitat management, and development/maintenance of databases.
