Overview
The Stansky Book Prize, awarded annually by the North American Conference on British Studies, recognizes outstanding scholarly contributions in British studies. A $500 prize is given for the best book published by a North American scholar covering any aspect of British studies since 1800. Eligible authors must be citizens or permanent residents of the U.S. or Canada, and nominations can be submitted by either the author or the publisher. The NACBS sponsors a scholarly journal, the Journal of British Studies, online publications, an annual conference, as well as several academic prizes, graduate fellowships, and undergraduate essay contests.
