Overview
The Stanley C. Israel Regional Award for Advancing Diversity in the Chemical Sciences recognizes individuals or institutions promoting inclusiveness in the chemical sciences. This award includes a medal, a $1,250 grant, and reimbursement for travel expenses up to $1,500 for attending the ACS regional meeting where the award is presented. Eligible nominees must foster programs that increase participation from diverse groups in the chemical enterprise.

Stanley C. Israel Regional Award for Advancing Diversity in the Chemical Sciences
Purpose
To recognize individuals and/or institutions who have advanced inclusion and belonging in the chemical sciences and significantly stimulated or fostered activities that promote inclusiveness within the region.
Description
The Stanley C. Israel Regional Award consists of an award recognition and a $1,250 grant to support and further the activities for which the award was made. The award also includes reimbursement up to $1,500 to cover the recipient’s travel expenses (transportation, accommodations, meeting registration, meals, and two tickets to the award ceremony) to the ACS regional meeting at which the award will be presented.

The nominee must belong to the region where their preferred meeting is being held. For example, if the nominee intends to attend the Mid-Atlantic Regional Meeting (MARM-ACS), they must live in said region.
