Green Chemistry Challenge Award To promote the environmental and economic benefits of developing and using novel green chemistry. Description These prestigious annual awards recognize chemical technologies that incorporate the principles of green chemistry into chemical design, manufacture, and use. The awards are sponsored by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's Office of Chemical Safety and Pollution Prevention in partnership with the American Chemical Society’s Green Chemistry Institute (ACS GCI) and other members of the chemical community.
