Overview

Our Impact Throughout the year, the SpartanNash Foundation invites the communities we serve to join in supporting our national, regional and local 501(c)(3) no-profit partners. Guests of SpartanNash-owned stores or guests who shop online can donate at checkout. Hunger, Heroes and Hope Our charitable partners are carefully selected to ensure the dollars raised are effectively used in the local community. SpartanNash underwrites all operational expenses, ensuring that every dollar goes directly to the partner organization. Our legacy Since its creation in 2015, the SpartanNash Foundation has joined with community partners that align with our focus areas of Hunger, Heroes and Hope – though our giving initiatives go back much further than that. With a combined total legacy of more than 100 years, the SpartanNash Foundation represents the best of its predecessors, the NFC Foundation and the Spartan Stores Foundation. The Foundation is governed by a Board of Trustees, comprised of our Associates and representing the company’s business units. It is funded primarily by donations from SpartanNash and store guests.
